Olfaria is free to read. It is paid for by shop links that may earn a commission and by labelled advertising, and neither ever decides what we score or recommend.

Affiliate links
Some links to retailers on Olfaria, such as the Buy buttons on perfume pages and shop links in the Journal, may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would going to the retailer directly.
Shop links open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored for search engines. Whether a link earns anything plays no part in which retailer we show: we link to where the perfume is widely available at a typical price.
Advertising
The Journal may show advertising in fixed slots, always labelled as such and separate from the article. Ads are never written by us, never dressed up as editorial content, and advertisers have no say in what we publish.
What money never changes
No house, clone house, retailer or advertiser can pay for a pairing, a similarity score, a rating, an Our pick mark or a place in a list. Scores are set before any shop link is added, by the method on how we score.
Brands and trademarks
Perfume names, house names and logos are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify the perfumes we compare. Clones are independent products from other houses and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sold by the original houses.
