What we do
Olfaria answers one question for people who already have a perfume in mind: which affordable alternative smells closest to it, and how much do you save? Every original in the register is paired with the clones that come nearest to it. Each pairing carries a similarity score, typical bottle prices, the saving, the full notes pyramid, accords and performance for both perfumes.
You can search the clone finder, browse every house or read the long-form verdicts in the Journal.
Who we are
Olfaria is an independent publication, written and edited by the Olfaria desk. We are not owned by, sponsored by or affiliated with any perfume house, clone house or retailer that appears on the site. Brand names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only so you can tell which house made which perfume.
How we work
A pairing goes into the register only after we find it in at least two independent sources. We set the similarity score ourselves, as an editorial estimate, and we write every description and comparison in our own words. The full method, including what each score band means, is on how we score.
When something is wrong, a price, a note, a score, tell us through the contact page. We check every report and correct the register when the evidence supports it.
How the site is funded
Olfaria is free to use. Some shop links may earn us a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you, and the Journal may carry clearly labelled advertising. Neither ever changes a similarity score, a rating or a verdict, and no brand can pay to be listed or ranked. Details are in our affiliate and advertising disclosure.
