About
Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods business in Florence in 1921, and it grew into the largest brand of the French group Kering. Gucci fragrance came to Coty in 2015 and 2016 as part of its purchase of Procter & Gamble's beauty brands. That licence is ending early: under a 2026 agreement, L'Oréal will take over Gucci fragrance and beauty on 1 July 2027 under a fifty-year licence. The current range combines mainstream lines such as Bloom, Guilty and Flora with The Alchemist's Garden, a collection of higher-priced scents.
