About

Zino Davidoff ran a tobacco shop in Geneva for decades and built a name in cigars before his surname became a wider luxury brand. Today the Davidoff name is split: tobacco products belong to separate companies, while Zino Davidoff SA, a family business based in Basel, owns the brand for fragrances, accessories, eyewear, coffee and cognac. Its fragrances are made under licence by Coty. Cool Water, composed by Pierre Bourdon and released in 1988, remains the commercial core of the range, extended with many versions, alongside newer lines such as Cool Elixir.
