About
Carolina Herrera founded her namesake company in New York in 1980 and became known for polished eveningwear and the crisp white shirt. Puig licensed her name for perfume in 1988 and bought the fashion business in 1995, keeping Herrera as creative director. Under Puig the fragrance side grew into several families, among them Carolina Herrera, CH and 212, while Good Girl, launched in 2016, became the house's largest release in more than a decade. Herrera later handed creative direction of the fashion line to Wes Gordon.
